Paragon becomes new growth partner of Schell GmbH & Co. KG
Munich – April 17, 2025 – After 93 years of successful company history in family hands, siblings Andrea and Joachim Schell have signed an agreement to sell their company to the owner-managed, private Paragon Group to ensure the company’s succession and keep SCHELL on course for growth.
Andrea and Joachim Schell, the current shareholders of Schell GmbH & Co KG, have concluded an agreement to sell their company to the owner-managed investment company Paragon Partners GmbH. The transaction is expected to be completed in May 2025, subject to regulatory approvals.
The innovative and fast-growing Schell GmbH & Co KG employs 450 people worldwide. With its water-saving fittings, SCHELL offers future-proof solutions for sustainable and resource-conserving water use. Whether in public facilities, commercial enterprises or private households – SCHELL solutions help optimize water and energy consumption, effectively reduce costs, and at the same time make a valuable contribution to environmental and climate protection.
“By handing over our company to Paragon, we ensure that our company will remain stable in the long term and continue to operate successfully in the future. The new owners will actively continue the existing growth strategy,” explain Andrea and Joachim Schell, shareholders of Schell GmbH & Co KG.
Dr. Edin Hadzic and Christian Bettinger, Partners at Paragon, add “SCHELL stands for excellent quality, is the world market leader for angle and combination angle valves, and a driver of innovation in the field of drinking water hygiene.
We see SCHELL as a company with great potential and look forward to working with the existing management team to continue SCHELL’s success story and strengthen Schell GmbH & Co. KG in the long term. It is very important to us to continue the operational business without significant changes for employees, customers and partners.”
Andrea Bußmann and Andreas Ueberschär, Managing Directors of Schell GmbH & Co. KG, are also very optimistic about the future: “In Paragon, we have found the ideal partner to support our successfully initiated growth strategy and to continue the SCHELL vision strategically, technologically and internationally.”
With the sale of Schell GmbH & Co. KG to Paragon, SCHELL’s long-standing tradition will be preserved, while at the same time new growth opportunities will be opened up – a combination of consistency and progress in the interests of SCHELL’s employees, customers and partners.
